About Us

Galveston Fishing Adventures

Capt. Mike Short

My passion for fishing began as a kid during family vacations to Galveston, where I would join my mom on fishing trips aboard party boats. This early love for the sport only grew over time, eventually inspiring me to pursue my dream of owning a fishing charter business.

After years of dreaming and planning, my wife Melody and I took a leap of faith, relocating to Galveston to start Galveston Fishing Adventures. Our dedication to providing unforgettable fishing experiences—putting fish on the deck and smiles on faces—has been the driving force behind the company’s growth over the years.

Melody and I are proud parents of three daughters who share our love for fishing.

Harry The Heron

Harry, the unofficial mascot of Galveston Fishing Adventures, is a cherished dock pet who has won the hearts of many of our customers. Although a little shy at first, Harry has gradually gained the trust of our team, especially Trae, who has developed a special bond with him. Always on the lookout for extra bait fish, Harry is a regular at the dock and brings joy to everyone who has the chance to meet him.
